Kelheim - Danube Gorge - Weltenburg Abbey
Our ships leave from Kelheim to sail through the famed Danube Gorge, with its rocky outcroppings rising straight up out of the water and the magnificent mixed forests along its bluffs. Destination is the renowned Benedictine Abbey of Weltenburg. From mid-March to the end of October, our excursion ships cover this route several times daily, as often as every half hour during the summer months. Travel time from Kelheim to Weltenburg Abbey is 40 minutes, with the return trip taking 20 minutes. Please consult the schedule for departure times and fares.
Regular service along the Main-Danube-Canal in the Altmühl valley
From the end of April to mid-October, we sail through the picturesque Altmühl valley from Kelheim to the "Three Castle City" of Riedenburg and back on a daily basis. The cruise along the Altmühl, which has been expanded at this point as part of the Main-Danube-Canal, takes about 2 hours one-way. A remarkable experience along the way is the lock at Gronsdorf (8 m [26 ft.] of height difference!). Please consult the schedule for departure times and fares.
Events
We are pleased to make our ships available for fashion shows, exhibitions, pilgrimages and other occasions. Sales promotions and product presentations gain a special ambience on board. Conferences and lectures can be held, as well.
